Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. This is an opportunity for someone who is motivated to help transform fund administration, delivering high-quality services to clients and empowering investment managers to focus on their core capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of all aspects of fund administration.
* Ensure clients meet regulatory obligations in respect of fund administration and tax compliance.
* Prepare and review all client deliverables to a high standard, adhering to procedures and processes.
* Successfully onboard new Funds within required timeframes.
* Train and mentor junior team members.
* Assist with internal projects as needed.
Core Deliverables
* Management Accounts Packs
* Statutory Financial Statements (half-year and year-end)
* Distribution calculations
* Management and performance fee calculations
* Lodgement of BAS returns
* Liaison with trustee, fund managers, and custodians (if any)
* System and process documentation
* Assisting with audit processes alongside external auditors and service providers
* Acting as the primary contact for designated client relationships
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of general accounting experience in the finance industry, preferably in property fund administration. They must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, fund administration, and unit pricing. Relevant qualifications in accounting and/or finance are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
