Job Summary
This role is responsible for supervising the team of Air Quality Controllers to manage air quality systems and providing instruction to operational areas to drive positive environmental outcomes.
You will be trained as an air quality controller and will be utilised to work shift work (4:4 roster) for a period of approx. 4 months per year to cover annual leave / sick leave requirements of the AQC controllers.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:
* Developing technical reports, data management, management of air quality projects and reporting on air quality metrics.
* Managing the AQC centre to achieve compliance with the Environmental Authority and minimise operational impacts through applying meteorological knowledge and control strategies for operational emissions.
* Drive AQC preliminary incident investigations and assist in implementation of corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant will have:
* Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant science (meteorology, environmental science/engineering, or process engineering/metallurgy).
* Relevant smelting/processing or mining operational experience (preferably more than 3 years).
* Supervisory/leadership experience is desired.
