Community Safety Officer Role
We are seeking a professional to fill the position of Community Safety Officer. This role is responsible for maintaining community safety and well-being by enforcing laws, regulations, and codes within our jurisdiction.
* Main Responsibilities:
o Operate as an Authorised Officer in animal management, parking compliance, local law enforcement, and other duties.
o Investigate reports and concerns relating to alleged breaches of Acts, Regulations, or Shire Local Laws.
o Prepare evidence for breaches of law to be heard in Court.
o Carry out duties in accordance with safe work method statements and practices to minimize the risk of workplace injury.
* Necessary Qualifications and Skills:
o Experience in investigation, law enforcement, and animal management.
o Handling and management of animals, including livestock.
o Experience with hardware and software systems used in local government compliance.
o Preparation of briefs and giving evidence in Magistrates' Court.
