Randstad is currently recruiting for an AO4 Communications Advisor to work with the State Government on infrastructure projects based in the Gold Coast.
As a Communications Officer, you will support the delivery of the South Coast Region's program by providing correspondence and communication support to program managers and teams across the region.
Responsibilities
* Assist in researching information and preparing or contributing to briefing notes and correspondence to ensure clear, concise, and consistent responses to the public and key stakeholders.
* Respond to media inquiries related to the region and prepare draft media statements.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of information, project data, and correspondence according to departmental standards and records management procedures.
* Promote internal control processes and continuous improvements to support effective business planning and program delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
* Experience dealing with difficult stakeholders and managing critical conversations.
* Current Class C driver's license and access to a vehicle for site visits and meetings.
* Ability to undergo employment screening, including criminal history checks.
Desirable Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a similar role.
* Experience in strategic communication or community engagement, especially related to infrastructure projects in transport or civil engineering sectors.
The pay rate is $58.02 - $63.69 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience. This is a 6-month full-time position based in Nerang, with potential for extension.
