Lismore Workers Golf Club (part of the Lismore Workers Group) is a proud regional club known for its welcoming community, well‑maintained course, and beautiful Northern Rivers setting. We're entering an exciting phase of development, with upcoming course improvement plans that will modernise and revitalise key areas of the course. As we look to the future and continue to enhance the playing experience for our members and guests, we're seeking an experienced and motivated Greenkeeper/Groundsman to join the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance, presentation, and development of the golf course, ensuring it is kept in top condition year‑round.
Key Responsibilities
* Mowing, rolling, and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds
* Course setup and daily preparation for play
* Turf renovation, coring, topdressing, and irrigation system maintenance
* Safe operation and basic maintenance of turf machinery and equipment
* Application of fertilisers, chemicals, and soil amendments in line with WHS and environmental standards
* Supervising and mentoring an apprentice and working collaboratively with volunteers
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement and sustainability of the course
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (or working towards)
* Demonstrated experience in golf course or sports turf maintenance
* Knowledge of turf machinery operation and maintenance
* Current driver's licence and chemical handling accreditation (ACDC desirable)
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
