General Diagnostic Radiology position Well-established and supportive department Spend your downtime in the majestic Whitsundays Where you’ll be working You will be based in a 236-bed regional hospital that services 10 rural hospitals and multi-purpose health facilities across the region. The health service is embarking on an exciting period of growth with a $250m redevelopment of the base hospital to provide an additional 112 inpatient beds and an expansion of outpatient and support services. The Medical Imaging Department is a RANZCR-accredited training site that delivers a range of services including General Radiography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Intervention, Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Theatre II. The service includes remote rural reporting for rural sites, including CT services. The medical imaging team is staffed with 24 radiographers, 4 sonographers, 4 consultants, 1.5 STP-funded RANZCR trainees and 2 unaccredited registrars Where you’ll be living This is a vibrant regional centre in tropical North Queensland, servicing a population of approximately 200,000.
