Our Client is an established underground hard rock mining operations producing base metals (polymetallic deposits). Renowned for their usage of advanced fleet of cutting-edge autonomous mining/drilling technology, they maintain a strong focus on productivity, safety, and a positive team culture. They are currently seeking an experienced Underground Charge Up Operator, holding a valid Blasting User Explosives License (BEUL) & UHL to join their team.
The roster is 7 and 7 off, Days and Nights rotating shift roster and a 12 per day working hours. Flexible working options as residential-live-in NSW based and or with the DIDO option from surrounding regional areas of Dubbo and NSW Central Western regions.
Requirements:
The role involves charge up activities in both underground mining development and production environments, including the safe preparation, handling, and detonation of explosives in accordance with site procedures and regulation requirements.
You are also required to carry out and:
* Handling explosives storage and transport underground.
* Charging development and detonation of hard rock underground faces.
* Achieve production targets through the safe and efficient application of explosive
blasting delivering ore form suitable for bogging and aligned with production objectives.
* Accurately complete charge up records and reports
* Carrying out charging of pre-drilled faces with both bulk emulsion and pre-packaged explosives.
* Strictly adhere to safety, environmental, and operational procedures and regs.
* Engaging in problem solving and work closely with a close knitted service crew
About You:
* Hold a current NSW Blasting Explosive User License (BEUL)
* Heavy Vehicle (HR) Driver License
* Security Clearance (UHL) ticket.
* NSW Work Safely at Heights Certificate
* Previous charge up experience in both development and production is an advantage.
