Remuneration
$111,341 to $120,557 per annum (HEW6) – includes $94,084 to $101,872 salary, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for the effective, safe, and sustainable operation of a range of laboratory equipment and facilities. Drawing on extensive knowledge and hands‐on experience of complex analytical instrumentation, along with excellent chemistry knowledge, the successful candidate will provide high‐quality technical support to academics and students within the Faculty.
Qualifications & Experience
* Completion of a relevant degree, with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training, preferably in a Chemistry instrumentation laboratory or relevant industry research environment.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret complex research requirements from clients with diverse backgrounds and apply advanced analytical instrumentation expertise and professional judgement to inform effective experimental and design solutions.
* Proven capacity for logical, systematic fault‐finding in complex analytical scientific instrumentation, requiring deep understanding of instrument performance and underlying chemical processes.
* Demonstrated experience in preparing clear and concise documentation and communicating effectively with a diverse client group.
* Proven ability to prioritise tasks, critically evaluate systems and processes and work collaboratively to achieve team‐based outcomes in a complex, fast‐paced and changing environment.
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective health and safety culture.
* Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
