We are currently seeking a Marketing & Promotions Officer to support a Council's Community Centres and Venues team in delivering engaging marketing campaigns and community activation initiatives.
Initial Contract Details
This is an initial 4-month contract with potential to extend up to 7 months, working full-time on-site in the North West.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver marketing and promotional activities for Community Centres and Venues, including advertising, direct marketing, publicity, online campaigns and social media engagement.
* Develop and manage marketing and advertising campaigns to increase awareness, participation and utilisation of Council facilities.
* Create engaging digital and print marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Illustrator).
* Manage and promote events through Eventbrite and other event management platforms.
* Develop and deliver online marketing and social media content across multiple platforms.
* Support engagement and activation initiatives aimed at growing and diversifying community centre users and venue hirers.
* Promote facilities to community groups, service providers and stakeholders to maximise utilisation.
* Assist with market research activities, including customer surveys, feedback and reporting.
About You
* Qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience in marketing, advertising campaign management and content creation.
* Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
* Experience managing Eventbrite or similar event ticketing/registration platforms.
* Proven experience delivering online marketing and social media campaigns.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse community groups.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
* Experience in local council.
Requirements
* Full-time on-site role (no hybrid work available).
* $40+ super per hour.
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle required.
* Ability to obtain a Police Check and Working With Children Check.
