The role of Transport Manager involves overseeing the maintenance, scheduling, and operation of a fleet of vehicles to ensure they are running efficiently and safely. This includes ensuring all operations comply with industry regulations, managing truck and driver allocation, scheduling routes, and overseeing subcontractor drivers when needed.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Transport Manager will be responsible for planning and managing daily delivery schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and pick-ups. Additionally, the Transport Manager will lead a team of transport drivers and weighbridge operators, conducting performance reviews, and providing training and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing transport, fleet or similar experience in a related field, as well as 3+ years' leadership experience in a similar industry. They will also have demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with the ability to guide, motivate and develop a team of transport drivers and weighbridge operators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and operation of the fleet of vehicles.
* Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations.
* Manage truck and driver allocation, scheduling routes, and oversee subcontractor drivers when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in managing transport, fleet or similar experience in a related field.
* 3+ years' leadership experience in a similar industry.
* Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with the ability to guide, motivate and develop a team of transport drivers and weighbridge operators.
* Knowledge of OHS and environmental regulations applicable to industry.
