Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) has a unique opportunity for a skilled electronic technician to work on exciting strategic Defence priorities in the field of Explosive Ordnance (EO). You will be trained to maintain and certify guided weapons by performing electronic technical work to high-quality standards. This role is your chance to secure a government position with comfortable, safe working conditions and the opportunity to be part of a small maintenance team.

You will work under limited direction in electronic technical activities that include;
- Conducting and certifying the maintenance, breakdown, repair, assembly, alignment, calibration, test, inspection, technical certification, test equipment and safety of guided weapon technical maintenance tasks.
- Using technical data, publications or documentation to perform technical activities within an explosive ordnance field.

The work you do each day will directly support Defence's commitment to rapidly increasing the maintenance and manufacture of guided weapons in Australia. You will be part of a team that is crucial to delivering the latest guided weapons for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

**About our Team**
The Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) acquires and sustains a broad range of explosive ordnance capabilities for the Australian Defence Force. EMB currently manages 38 acquisition projects and sustains over 1000 munition types (including 35 types of complex guided weapons). EMB also manages two explosive ordnance manufacturing facilities.

You will be working in the Navy Missile Maintenance team in Explosive Ordnance Maintenance Directorate. The maintenance team plays a significant role in the organisation and is responsible for the ongoing guided weapon maintenance in line with detailed regulations.

- Deliver the current and future guided weapons by bringing your detailed electronic trade and technical skills and strong work ethic to a team that maintains and certify guided weapons.
