Wardsperson – Support Patient Care in Our Health Service

At South East Regional Hospital, our Wardspersons are essential members of the healthcare team, providing non-clinical support that enhances the patient experience across hospital wards, emergency departments, and specialist units.

What you'll be doing 
The Wardsperson works under the direction of clinicians in the delivery of person-centred care.
Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of and willingness to support the provision of person-centred care in a health care environment.
- Experience working and communicating with people, having a friendly and respectful approach to people from all backgrounds.
- Physical capacity to perform the duties of the position including lifting and transferring patients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of responsibilities under Work Health and Safety Legislation and the ability to read and follow instructions, policies, duty lists etc.
- Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
