What You’ll Be Doing
Security staff work as part of a team, in collaboration with other staff, to assist with managing patients, to provide assistance to visitors, and to assist with protecting staff and securing the assets of South Western Sydney Local Health District.
The emphasis of the role in NSW Health is on assisting with the early identification, prevention and management of incidents. Security staff provide a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors according to work health and safety legislation. Security staff are expected to maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times. Security staff must contact the police if there is suspected criminal activity on or around a NSW Health premises. Security staff must not place themselves at unnecessary risk; where there are concerns about public safety the police should be called.

- Availability to work 12-hour day and night shifts.
- Examples of oral communication skills for effective teamwork in challenging environments.
