Sorensen Engineering is seeking a driven and passionate CNC Machinist for our afternoon shift team. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility that operates 24/7, using Okuma multi-axis mill/turn lathes with robojob robots and automated multi-pallet Okuma horizontal machining centres.
We manufacture high-quality components and assemblies for various industries, including Transportation, Energy, Life Science, Medical, Mining, Film, TV equipment, and Aerospace. Our Australian company has over 50 years of expertise, supplying leading brands.
The skills we are looking for are:
* Proven quality in operating CNC Mills and CNC Lathes
* Excellent practical engineering skills with a hands-on approach to your work
* Trade qualifications equivalent to ANZSCO: 3232 Metal Fitters and Machinists
* Ability to work independently and in a close-knit team towards common goals
* Personal pride and professionalism in all tasks performed
Preferable skills but not essential:
* OKUMA and IGF Experience
* Flexibility in rotating between afternoon and night shifts
* CAD/CAM
* Mastercam
