Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:Working closely with the Executive Officer and across different teams to ensure the successful roll-out of the events calendar with a focus on event marketingWrite and edit copy for a variety of channels (including print, web, mobile, and social media), working with internal stakeholders to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messagingSeek / re-purpose / create quality copy for a range of communicationsPlan and build marketing and event campaigns using electronic direct mail and collaborate with the communications team to develop social media messagingCoordinate the development of social and digital content for events with the graphic designer and external stakeholdersWork with stakeholders across the organisation to utilise appropriate CRM segments and listsAct as a liaison for speakers participating in summits and events, including coordinating travel, preparing run sheets and briefing speakersWork with the Events Administrator to support end-to-end process of event planning and execution, including representing the Australia Institute at events when requiredSupport the execution of in-person and digital events, and provide insights and data post-events to lift the bar for future eventsAny other reasonable tasks that may be required from time-to-time.About YouWe are seeking a passionate events professional with at least two years of relevant experience. You must have:2+ years of experience in event marketing and copywritingCreative, solutions-focused thinkingAbility to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demandsExcellent communication and organisational skillsExceptional attention to detailTeam player who can work independentlyFlexibility to work outside of regular office hours and travel as requiredExperience using a CRM platform is desirable.About UsThe Australia Institute is an independent public policy think tank that conducts research and advocates for progressive policies across a range of social, economic, and environmental issues.
