Chisholm's Senior Secondary Department is seeking Casual Exam Supervisors to assist with upcoming GAT exams assessment.
About the Role
Chisholm is inviting applications for the casual positions of Chief Exam Supervisors and Assistant supervisors for the upcoming GAT and VCE exams in June, October and November 2026. These positions are accountable for conducting and administering GAT and VCE external assessments, ensuring they understand the provisions for any student with approved special examination arrangements, and maintaining the school's established guidelines, order and discipline among students.
Eligibility Criteria
Chief supervisors and Assistant supervisors cannot be any of the following:
* Closely related to or associated with any student required to sit the GAT or undertaking a VCE Unit 3 and 4 study in 2026. (Examples of relationships include children, relatives by marriage or de facto, friends, neighbours, business or community associates, tutoring or teaching relationships)
* Teaching or tutoring any student required to sit the GAT or tutoring a VCE Unit 3 and 4 study in 2026.
* Closely related to, or associated with, any school personnel engaged in organising or checking VCE external assessment materials on behalf of a school in 2026.
* Employed by the school as a teacher (including Casual Relief Teacher) or member of the administration staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicating specific requirements to students prior to, during and at the conclusion of each GAT and VCE external assessment, including relevant announcements and Examination Centre messages.
* Reconciling all external assessment materials within 48 hours of delivery and ensuring they are stored in a dedicated secure locked repository according to VCAA requirements.
* Ensuring a clear and common understanding of the requirements for any student with approved Special Examination Arrangements.
* Ensuring the secure storage and collection of external assessment materials.
* Ensuring authorised school personnel are made aware of any student who does not obey or observe instructions given by the supervisor in the examination room.
* Ensuring suitable arrangements are available if a student's behaviour requires removal from an examination room.
* Ensuring all response material is collected and packed according to VCAA requirements.
* Safekeeping and handing over of the completed response material to the VCAA courier.
* Chief Exam Supervisors have overall responsibility for the conduct and administration of VCE external assessments.
About You
You will have experience as a VCE Exam Invigilator or in a similar role that involves high-level administrative skills, supervisory responsibility and actioning of set processes. You enjoy working as part of a team, proactively collaborating to achieve goals, and you possess proven organisational skills and exceptional communication ability to provide clear instructions.
