Proudly a flexible agency, this role can be performed at any of the AER offices located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney and is available on a full‐time, part‐time or job‐share basis.

What you will do as the Senior Human Resources Advisor, Workplace Health, Safety and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
* Deliver health, safety, wellbeing and injury related systems, policies and procedures (with a focus on psychosocial safety), in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, regulations, APS frameworks and strategies to minimise hazards, incidents and accidents.
* Provide rehabilitation case management for both compensable and non‐compensable claims, apply early intervention and rehabilitation strategies and actions to support AER people, and to ensure ill and injured employees achieve a safe return to work.
* Develop and implement the AER Wellbeing Framework, including coordinating the AER Employee Assistance Program (EAP) service, instructional materials and news articles on WHS, inclusion and wellbeing topics and maintaining the related intranet content.
* Engage with internal stakeholders through the WHS mailbox and other mediums by providing direct, timely, first tier advice, support and interpretation of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
About you
* A well‐developed understanding, or ability to quickly acquire an understanding, of human resources frameworks, systems and processes.
* A demonstrated ability to research, investigate and analyse issues, interpret and apply work health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
* A demonstrated ability to engage, support and work collaboratively with other people, including the ability to proactively anticipate and respond to client and stakeholder needs.
* Tertiary qualifications in human resources, work health and safety, rehabilitation or a similar field, working towards completion or willingness to pursue accreditation.

Salary: $102,947 - $115,384 (plus 15.4% superannuation) The salary rates incorporate the agency pay increases which take effective from 12 March 2026 under the ACCC Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027
