Lead RF Communications Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead RF Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining critical communication systems.
This role involves complex engineering activities focused on radio frequency communications, including investigation, analysis, and technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
You will work collaboratively with engineers and technicians, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to safety, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement advanced technical solutions for complex communication systems.
* Manage engineering risks and apply advanced engineering principles to ensure project delivery.
* Review and assess technical designs, specifications, and safety documentation to ensure compliance.
* Engage with stakeholders to address technical issues and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
* Mentor and support junior engineers within the team to ensure knowledge transfer and growth.
* Prepare and manage work plans, resources, and project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislative, policy, and safety frameworks to minimize risk.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Engineering in RF Communications, Systems Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
* Registered Professional Engineer (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in electrical or communications engineering.
* Proven expertise in radio frequency communications engineering, including advanced technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in safety case development, risk assessments, and hazard management.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
