**About the role at Optus**
Your role is to prevent fraud losses and protect the interests of Optus through effective monitoring of high risk and suspected alerts and referrals across multiple customer channels.
The scope of your role involves actioning of claims and queries involving suspect to outright fraudulent activity thus preventing fraudulent customers acquiring a credit facility with Optus through implementation of preventative measures. You will also play an important part in providing education to all business units to highlight the importance of fraud awareness.
As part of an impactful team, you will review customers who are potentially impacted by fraud to detect how the fraud has occurred, and help prevent further fraud events to avoid further losses being incurred and to halt any adverse/fraudulent activations and resolve customer issues.
During these activities, you will also be expected to reliably identify emerging trends with respect to sales channels/dealers, addresses, products or breaches within existing Optus process prone to fraud.
**Seniority**
**Junior** - A role for someone with some basic skills, good motivation and ability to learn. Typically up to 2 years of experience is required.
