About This Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic community-focused person who wants to make a difference by connecting and supporting older people within the Indigo Shire towns of Beechworth, Rutherglen, Yackandandah & Tangambalanga.
Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate home‐based care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.
* Provide personal care to clients including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
* Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties, assistance with meal preparations and companionship.
* Provide incidental transport to appointments, shopping and social outings.

Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable but not essential.
* Exceptional communication skills, a can‐do attitude, empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
* Patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
* Personable, compassionate, approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.
* Reliable, responsive, efficient, confident and proactive.
* Value and enjoy the company of older people.
Preferred Requirements
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable car, including comprehensive car insurance.
* NDIS Worker Screening Test.
* Level 2 First Aid.
* Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residence or Right to Work in Australia.
