Your new role
As the Maintenance Supervisor - Civil Infrastructure (Level 6), you'll lead the day‑to‑day operations of the roads and civil maintenance team. Your work will include coordinating crews, allocating labour and plant resources, overseeing contractors, and ensuring all works - from routine maintenance to minor construction - are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
You'll manage workflow, monitor quality, investigate issues or complaints, prepare reports, liaise with utility providers and stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering the City's works programs. This is a hands‑on leadership role where no two days look the same.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong experience in civil maintenance or construction supervision, ideally 5+ years
Solid understanding of road, drainage and footpath construction/maintenance techniques
Experience supervising staff and external contractors
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical standards
Well‑developed communication and conflict‑resolution skills
Confidence coordinating people, plant, materials and multiple work programs
A commitment to safety, quality and delivering strong customer service
