Offer description

Who we are and what we offer:

Interested in shaping skylines across the globe?

Multiplex is a premier construction company with a simple purpose: to construct a better future. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to help deliver some of the world's most iconic projects, supported by approachable leadership and an inclusive culture that puts our people first.

You will also have access to a range of holistic benefits including:

* Bonus schemes, annual remuneration reviews and salary continuance insurance.
* Health and Wellbeing programs, including annual voluntary skin and health checks.
* Benefits to support parents and families, including 20 weeks paid parental leave regardless of gender, payment of superannuation on unpaid leave, and transition coaching.
* Professional career development opportunities and a wealth of learning offerings through the Multiplex Learning Academy.
* An industry-leading approach to flexible work to enable better work-life balance.

Who we're looking for:

Our people are united by a common belief: that we can outperform in everything we do.

Multiplex is currently undertaking early planning for the Canberra Lyric Theatre Project, which will deliver a landmark 2,000-seat new lyric theatre. This major redevelopment will transform the existing Canberra Theatre Centre precinct to better support international, national, and local performances, concerts, and events. Construction will be staged and carried out in a live environment, ensuring other venues at the Centre remain operational throughout.

Based on-site, this is an exciting time at the start of the project to come in as Contracts Manager responsible for managing the contracts administration function. This includes overseeing the procurement of labour/sub-contractor services and financial activities with a focus on cash flow, profit maximisation, variations, reporting and administration.

From fostering strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants, administering the Head Contract to financial reporting, this role operates in a dynamic environment and requires exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Together with relevant qualifications in commerce/finance/law or a related discipline, we would like candidates with proven experience in a commercial role within the construction industry. High level experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating, understanding of tender processes, financial knowledge of construction costs and a good grounding in legal principles are essential for this role. We are also looking for an analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, mentoring skills to develop CA's Grads and Cadets and excellent stakeholder management capabilities, particularly when working with suppliers, subcontractors and customers.

A note on diversity:

Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings. We invite applications from people of all genders, cultures and walks of life. Veterans are encouraged to apply, we highly value defence experience and skills. Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less like to apply for roles if they don't meet every qualification. So even if you don't match all the criteria - if you are passionate about helping to construct a better future, we'd love to hear from you.

We are committed to providing a barrier-free work environment and can support with reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. Simply inform our Talent Acquisition team during your conversation with them.
