The Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our friendly, professional and highly driven Rural team to focus on the repairs and servicing of steel rainwater tanks, pumps and equipment.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Fault find rainwater harvesting system issues
* Provide information and training on fault finding and resolution of tank issues to Operations team
* Review assigned jobs for the next day, and ensure all equipment required is available
* Perform quality inspections of completed products
* Verify Service partners relevant qualifications/licenses prior to completing work, whether they are working on a relief or permanent basis
* Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and ensure any issues with equipment is reported to management
* Work in the factory in cases of inclement weather or insufficient field work
* Maintaining communication, and reporting on job status and repair issues with the team
* Perform duties in accordance with relevant SWMS, Policies and Procedures and OHS legislation
* Cooperate with and support the compliance management system and encourage workplace colleagues to do the same
* Develop employee awareness of product compliance obligations
* Actively participate in corrective actions from concerns or internal audits.
About You:
· Able to work in remote locations as role would include prolonged days away from home
· Unrestricted car drivers license;
· Hold or be willing to successfully acquire a current First Aid Certificate, Construction Induction Card ‘White Card’ plus Confined Space accreditation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers including explaining difficult service and warranty issues
· Experience in manual handling and be physically fit
· Effectively able to manage resources, including effectively planning, prioritising and managing time and travel
· Understand and operate hand and power tools and equipment
· Ability to do online reporting forms
