We are seeking an experienced Systems & Quality Manager to lead our Quality Management System and ensure ongoing compliance with defence and customer requirements.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing and improving our AS9100 certified Quality Management System (QMS) within a defence manufacturing environment.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality performance, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and continuously improve the AS9100 Quality Management System.
* Lead internal, external and certification audits.
* Manage non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Oversee document control and configuration management.
* Drive risk management and root cause analysis processes.
* Manage supplier quality assurance and performance monitoring.
* Report on quality KPIs and system performance to senior management.
* Support new product introduction and production quality planning.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the businesses.
Skills & Experience Required
* Demonstrated experience managing an AS9100 Quality Management System.
* Background in defence, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
* Strong working knowledge of quality standards and regulatory compliance.
* Experience leading audits and dealing with certification bodies.
* Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
* Engineering or technical manufacturing background.
Security Clearance Requirement

Our company works in the Australian Defence Sector therefore a security clearance may be required for this role, therefore applicants must be an Australian Citizen. The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) also applied, meaning your nationality could affect your suitability for this position.
