The Transition to Specialty Perioperative Nurse will be a valued member of our Albury and Wodonga Perioperative teams rotating across both campuses.
Applications are sought from Registered Nurses who are seeking a new challenge and career exposure in perioperative nursing. The successful applicant will be supported in areas of perioperative nursing as per the Perioperative Capability Framework – Anaesthetics, Recovery, Instrument & Circulating nursing. They will have access to the perioperative educator, ACORN standards and have an opportunity to have cross campus placements. Our TSP program is designed to provide the registered nurse with the skills, knowledge and attributes that are required to transition into perioperative nursing and potential preparation for Post Graduate Specialty study in the future.
We encourage applicants who meet the following criteria to apply:
* Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency).
* Demonstrates a person and family centred approach to decision making and care planning activities.
* Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
