About The Role
Nova Systems is a leading engineering services and technology solutions company dedicated to creating a safer world through advanced Defence capabilities. As an ILS Manager, you will support key EW projects within the EWIS, delivering and sustaining essential Defence capability for Australia's war fighters. You will coordinate the various elements required to ensure project success, progressing projects from strategy and inception through to in‐service support and disposal.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside Commonwealth project team members to support the progress of projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews.
* Liaise with Defence and non‐Defence stakeholders.
* Contribute to or develop ILS artefacts that support project progress.
* Perform Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) item reviews.
* Provide advice and expertise on ILS policies and legislation for Defence stakeholders.
* Analyse complex logistics issues and identify recommendations.
* Evaluate contractor material logistics activities to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Required Qualifications
* Industry‐recognised ILS qualification or certification.
* Experience in Defence acquisition ILS policy, processes and procedures to support the acquisition and sustainment of equipment in accordance with Defence requirements.
* Experience in achieving Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) assurance statements in support of projects achieving IOC/FOC.
* Experience in defences acquisition and support contracts, including DSDs, DIDS and long‐term sustainment contracts.
* Trained in logistics aspects of the Defence ERP system.
* Ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders within CASG, ADF and in‐service support contractors.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in relation to ILS subject matter.
* Experience leading teams within a complex stakeholder environment.
* Outgoing, proactive risk identification and issue resolution skills.
* Capability to gain an NV2 security clearance and currently holding NV1 at the time of application.
* Defence experience with electromagnetic warfare systems and Land domain subject matter (highly regarded).
* Defence experience working above‐the‐line on ASDEFCON acquisition and support contracts.
* Geographical requirement: based in Canberra.
