We're seeking a practical, people-focused RTO Manager to lead our non-teaching operations and support high-quality program delivery. This role suits someone who brings calm authority, steady leadership and excellent judgement when navigating situations. The position will ideally commence in early **** and 0.8 FTE will be considered for the right applicant.

Applied Vocational Training (AVT) is a highly respected, WA-based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) specialising in animal care, veterinary nursing and animal behaviour and training qualifications. Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate functional teams: Compliance, Student Support, Finance/HR, Marketing, and IT Support fostering AVT's values and creating a healthy, collaborative and positive workplace culture
Partner with our Training Director to assist with consistent training delivery and positive student experiences
Support compliance frameworks and audit readiness in collaboration with our Compliance Manager
Drive continuous improvement of systems, workflow and communication
Resolve escalated student, staff or operational matters with sound judgement
Prepare clear management reports highlighting progress, risks and solutions to Company Directors
Monitor performance metrics and review monthly P&L reports
Work with key team members to maintain relationships with veterinary clinics, shelters and workplace partners
About you
You will bring:
Experience in RTO, VET or training organisation operations, or strong organisational leadership experience
Strong working knowledge of the Standards for RTOs and vocational compliance contexts (or the ability to learn quickly)
A solid understanding of financial principles, including monitoring budgets, interpreting P&L reports and managing operational performance
Demonstrated ability to lead people with clarity, empathy and accountability
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships
A leadership style grounded in empathy, clarity and consistency
Highly regarded
A TAE qualification and/or sector-specific experience
