About the role As a Support Worker at the Harry Hunter Rehabilitation Centre, you will provide practical, person-centred support to participants undergoing alcohol and other drug (AOD) rehabilitation. You will help create a safe, caring and structured environment that supports participants in their recovery journey. This is a casual position, and shifts will be allocated as required across a 24/7 roster. Shifts: Day 8:00am–4:00pm | Afternoon 4:00pm–12:00am | Night 12:00am–8:00am This role is based at Harry Hunter Rehabilitation Centre in Gosnells, WA. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 3. How you will make an impact Support participants in their daily routines and rehabilitation activities. Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging or high-risk situations. Assist participants who may be experiencing withdrawal and monitor their wellbeing. Supervise participant medication in line with guidelines. Provide transport for participants as required. Help maintain a safe, supportive and respectful environment. Assist with meal preparation, room checks and general cleaning tasks. Keep accurate records and handovers using internal systems. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality support. What you will bring Certificate IV in Community Services, AOD or Mental Health (minimum). Experience supporting people with AOD or mental health needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice. Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain professional boundaries. Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice. A current WA driver’s licence. Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
