The Role:
Ellia’s Garden is a 150-acre agritourism destination and working organic farm. We are looking for a highly disciplined, physically robust individual to take ownership of the \"Base Load\" operations. You will be the primary engine ensuring our crops are productive and our grounds are \"Show-Ready\" for our visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Crop Lifecycle Management: Execute the daily \"Base Load\" of the market garden, including seeding, transplanting, and bed preparation for our PYO (Pick-Your-Own) crops.
* Property & Estate Maintenance: Full ownership of groundskeeping—mowing, brush-cutting, fencing, and maintaining the riverfront and activity areas (Hay Castle, boat pond, etc.).
* Infrastructure Oversight: Daily checks and maintenance of irrigation systems, farm machinery, and tool organization.
* Operational Readiness: Ensuring all visitor areas are safe, clean, and perfectly prepared for our Sunday/Monday opening hours.
* Physical Execution: This is a high-intensity, hands-on role. You will handle the manual labor and heavy lifting required to keep the farm in peak condition.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Agricultural Experience: You understand the precision required for seeding and transplanting organic crops.
* The \"Caretaker\" Eye: You notice a weed, a loose wire, or a dry patch before it becomes a problem and fix it autonomously.
* Physically Robust: You thrive in an active, outdoor environment and are capable of handling the physical demands of a large property.
* Reliable & Low-Drama: You follow established farm systems exactly and take pride in delivering a \"pristine\" result every day.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in farming, market gardening, or estate maintenance.
* Competency with farm machinery (tractors/mowers) and hand tools.
* Valid driver’s license.
