Job Description
The opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Mining Superintendent
to join the team at our Duketon Operation. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of mine production, coordinating the development and application of mine plans and ensuring production targets are met safely.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include
* Responsible for all aspects of open pit mine production
* Developing and optimising mine activities
* Ensuring short term mine plans align with long term mine plans
* Monitoring progress against plan and reporting significant deviations
* Carrying out project work aimed at improving performance and efficient use of resources
* Facilitating the preparation of annual and quarterly forecasts, monthly reports and cost variance reports
* Supervising the activities of professionals or other technical staff
* Ensuring a healthy and safe work environment
* Assisting in the preparation of annual mine Budget and Life of Mine Plan
* Assume the role of Quarry Manager
About You
Desired Skills and Experience
To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have
* WA Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency, under new WHS Legislation
* Open pit mining experience
* Short and long term mine planning and engineering
* Personnel management and proven leadership skills
* Current WA class C manual driver's licence
