Our Spatial and Data Insights Team has experienced strong growth and we see the value in continuing to expand our capabilities. We are seeking to invest further in our spatial and data insights team as it underpins and integrates with all the work we do. Specifically, we are seeking a full time Senior Spatial and Data Technician to join our team in Brisbane (or surrounds).

Flexible working arrangements. 
As a Senior Spatial and Data Technician you will: 
- Design, manage and optimise spatial and non-spatial databases to ensure accessibility, efficiency, currency and integrity. 
- Lead the development and implementation of spatial techniques to assess data quality. 
- Prepare and maintain automated workflows and system integrations to streamline data processing across different systems using ArcGIS ModelBuilder, Python and / or FME. 
- Prepare complex map-based outputs by deploying well developed cartography skills. 
- Develop tailored web-applications and interactive environments to support evidence-based decision-making by both technical and non-technical users. 
- Mentor and support junior and non-technical staff in spatial and data methods, tools and problem solving. 
Ideally your skills and experience will include: 
- Strong proficiency in spatial and data tools and packages including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, FME, Python and / or PowerBI. 
- Demonstrated experience to prepare and publish engaging content using ArcGIS Online applications (including Experience Builder, Instant Apps, StoryMaps, etc.). 
- Skills in developing automated and custom workflows using ArcGIS ModelBuilder, Python and / or FME to support efficiency and repeatability in data processing and analysis. 
- Capacity to identify, prepare and analyse spatial and non-spatial data appropriate to land use planning tasks. 
- Strong working knowledge of spatial data formats and coordinate systems including experience in data management including cleaning, transforming and maintaining data. 
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, metadata standards and data quality assurance practices.
