Overview Work Type: Fixed-term - Full-time Salary: $113,022 - $136,747 Grade: VPS 5 Occupation: Health and allied health Location: Grampians - Horsham Reference: VG/DE/SRS/1913342 The Student Support Services (SSS) Team Leader role sits within the West Grampians network team. The role reports to the Wimmera South West (WSW) SSS Manager and will also work closely with the other WSW SSS Team Leaders.
The SSS Team Leader will lead the daily operations and functioning of the West Grampians multi-disciplinary SSS team, coordinating the consistent practice and implementation of the SSS Priorities and key reforms (such as Disability Inclusion reform). The role includes the line management of the Allied Health SSS team.
This position requires highly effective communication and collaboration skills, stakeholder management and well-developed organisational skills.
The role will require regular onsite work at the Horsham DE office and West Grampians schools. Fixed term - Full time until 02/02/2027 About the Department The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives focussed on lifelong learning and healthy development. About the Group This role, leading clinical service delivery in schools and line managing a multi-disciplinary Allied Health team, is located in the Student Support Services Branch, South Western Victoria Region of Schools and Regional Services. The Student Support Services team work collaboratively with schools and Area to support student learning and wellbeing outcomes across the Region. About the Role The SSS Team Leader will lead the daily operations and functioning of the West Grampians multi-disciplinary SSS team, coordinating the consistent practice and implementation of the SSS Priorities and key reforms (such as Disability Inclusion reform). The role includes the line management of the Allied Health SSS team. The Team Leader will hold a small caseload supporting complex student presentations and undertake the Key Contact role, providing advice and secondary consultation to schools. Attributes We are looking for a dynamic team leader, with strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills and a high-level understanding of current education reforms. A deep understanding of the Allied Health sector will be an advantage, as will any qualifications held in the Allied health field. Your capacity for collaboration, navigating complex issues, driving continuous improvement and cultivating genuine relationships will be pivotal for your success. Qualifications and Experience
* Desirable: Relevant experience in schools and/or education system
* Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in an allied health field (Psychology/Social Work/Speech Pathology/Occupational Therapy)
