POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an accomplished Sales Director to work directly with the CEO to scale the business and grow sales in key global markets. The role will involve expanding market share for both Wholesale and Retail in line with the company strategy relating to new markets and segments.
The Sales Director will provide oversight and leadership of the Wholesale and Retail Marketing teams and embed clear revenue objectives into marketing plans and campaigns. They will be instrumental in growing revenue from the Loyalty program and the Customer Lifecycle initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced E-Commerce leader with strong distribution experience and commercial acumen, they will drive sales growth together with cost efficiencies to increase profitability.
Building and maintaining strong relationships in the equine industry globally is key. This role will require international travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Growth Strategy:
* Develop and execute clear and actionable strategies to grow Wholesale and Retail sales across all key markets.
* Implement Key Account Management practices within the Wholesale Team embedding a growth mindset.
* Develop action plans to support and grow the top tier accounts in each region.
* Plot how Retail and Wholesale sales complement each other in key markets and develop plans to alter the Sales mix to increase overall profitability.
Marketing Oversight:
* Oversee all sales driven Marketing activities and provide clear KPIs and revenue objectives that support the overall Sales Strategy and plan.
* Collaborate with Marketing to develop region-specific growth plans with digital campaigns, Trade Shows and industry events as well as key partnerships and sponsorships.
* Support marketing plans for key accounts within the Loyalty Program.
Key Account Relationships:
* Develop strong and trusting relationships with key Stockists and work with all Scootboot functions to improve the Customer Experience at every stage of the Customer Lifecycle. (Particularly with new products and after sales service.)
* Gather and utilise insights to help drive both short term and long term sales success.
Stakeholder Management Plan:
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive Stakeholder Management Plan that outlines key status, activities and support for individual Stockists, especially key accounts.
* Provide monthly reporting with a Stakeholder Dashboard, highlighting progress, Issues and Risks Analysis.
Stockist Acquisition:
* Develop and implement a robust Stockist acquisition process and roadmap.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with key accounts when required.
* Analyse the Stockist customer journey to make improvements overall including data analysis, technology and reporting.
Sales Innovation:
* Research, identify and implement future potential opportunities to innovate the sales process through automation, new technologies and vendors.
* Identify opportunities to improve freight, distribution and logistics for cost efficiencies, volume growth and service/convenience for customers.
Reporting:
* Provide the CEO and Board monthly reports showing progress against the Sales Strategy and Plans and the linkage to Marketing activities, and their performance/ results.
What We're Looking For
* Proven track record in scaling sales internationally, ideally within E-Commerce, distribution, or consumer brands.
* Demonstrated success in key account management, channel development

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams.
* Exceptional commercial acumen and analytical ability.
* Experience in the equine, sporting goods, or lifestyle industries will be highly regarded.
