**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Unit, this role is responsible for providing clinical services of the highest possible standard to the Department patients, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. Duties for the role will include:
- Providing appropriate specialist level care to patients,
- Providing appropriate direction and supervision to registrars, resident medical officers, and interns,
- Overseeing the smooth functioning of the clinical area when on shift,
- Coordinating the follow up care for patients
**About you**:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in gynaecology,
- Experience with the supervision of and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff,
- Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in gynaecology/urogynaecology
- Management of patients using a wide range of surgical skills including level 4 laparoscopy as a minimum standard
