Health and Safety Intern
Duration: 2 years
Minimum Requirements / Skills / Attributes
Grade 12 National diploma / Degree in Safety or Environmental Health Samtrac Qualification (Preferably Mining Samtrac) Driver’s license (Essential) Must be fluent in English Proficient in Microsoft Office Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 legislation Knowledge of Environmental related legislation would be advantageous Must be from the Midvaal Municipality Attention to detail Honest and Reliable Self Starter Good Communication Skills Adaptable to change Must be able to work under pressure Self disciplined and motivated
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
Assist SHE team to oversee and manage day-to-day functions Assist in developing, implementing, reviewing and improving company SHE policies, SOP’s, COP’s and risk assessments Schedule and attend weekly / monthly SHE meetings as well as committee meetings Assist with workplace inspections, audits and address all findings Conduct toolbox talks
