The Client:
Leading Technology Solutions provider using the latest big data and machine learning technologies to solve complex cyber security challenges for their valued clients. Due to rapid growth, they are looking to expand into new capabilities to revolutionise their products and services.
The Role:
Junior Software Engineer to help deliver complex solutions to customers in the cyber security market, mentored by highly experienced engineers in this field.
You will possess strong technical skills across Python and/or PHP, as well as knowledge in a Linux/Unix environment.
* Develop conceptual solutions for customer problems and demonstrate technology.
* Be involved in product and software development, including suggesting product improvements as you work closely with end users.
* Develop and execute test plans for production software.
* Deploy and support our products in the field, providing timely and accurate support and instruction to end-users and new starters.
* Produce documentation to capture and communicate installation and support processes.
* Provide technical assistance to the engineering teams when troubleshooting issues (including walkthrough code with a view to identifying and correcting problems).
* Assist in the development of scripts to automate and streamline our engineering practices – e.g. Software Deployment, Test Automation, Build Management and Performance Monitoring.
This is a Hybrid working environment : 3 days in office / 2 days WFH
Ideally, you will have:
* MUST be an Australian Citizen and eligible for an AGSVA Security Clearance
* Strong technical knowledge in MS Windows, Unix and Scripting languages such as Python and PHP
* Knowledge of cloud computing, security, and developing virtualised environments.
* Knowledge of networking protocols and strongly typed programming languages is also highly desirable
* Strong willingness to learn and growth mindset
