Senior Business Analyst – Payments Transformation | Banking Client | Melbourne | $800/day + Super
We are partnering with a leading banking client to engage an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a major, multi-year payments transformation program.
This role sits within an enterprise payments division and supports replacing a legacy transaction switching platform with a modern, cloud-based solution. You will join an established delivery team working across complex integration and terminal ecosystems.
* Work on a large-scale, high-impact payments transformation program
* Be part of a long-term (multi-year) strategic initiative
* Exposure to modern payment platforms and cloud-based switching
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and technology
* Strong pipeline of ongoing work and extensions
* Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owner, and delivery teams
* Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across complex environments
* Facilitate workshops to define current and future state processes
* Develop high-quality artefacts, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Support backlog refinement, prioritisation, and value-driven delivery
* Define business processes, operating models, and data requirements
* Work closely with technology teams on integration and solution delivery
* Perform impact analysis to support change and implementation
* Support UAT and business verification activities
* Engage with vendors and integration partners on APIs and solution design
* Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in complex enterprise environments
* Strong experience within payments, EFTPOS, or terminal ecosystems
* Knowledge of terminal platforms (e.g., Verifone, Ingenico) and message flows
* Experience with device-to-host integration and payment switching environments
* Strong API, integration, and data mapping experience
* Ability to define requirements across multi-channel platforms (terminal, web, digital)
* Advanced skills in requirements engineering (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria)
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
* Experience working with vendors and external partners
* Exposure to healthcare payments / Medicare / HICAPS environments
* Experience working on large-scale transformation programs
