We are seeking a motivated and reliable Food Catering Assistant to support our Head Chef in delivering exceptional catering services across events, schools, and corporate sites.
About the Role
As a Food Catering Assistant, you will work closely with our Head Chef to assist in their cafe/catering operations to ensure smooth preparation, presentation, and delivery of high-quality meals. You will play a key role in maintaining our standards of excellence in food safety, customer service, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef with food preparation, plating, and service.
- Support catering operations for school canteens, corporate functions, and special events.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and catering equipment.
- Provide friendly and professional service to clients, staff, and guests.
- Work as part of a team to meet service timelines and client expectations.
About You
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality (event catering experience highly regarded).
- A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Understanding of food safety practices (Food Handler’s Certificate).
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional early starts or event shifts.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
