Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures
Job Summary:
This is a challenging role for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join our team at Cessna Aircraft Company. As a key member of our maintenance organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible standard of maintenance is performed on assigned aircraft in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as Civil Aviation Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Performance: Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
2. Aircraft Integrity: Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
3. Task Management: Ensure tasks and duties are accomplished as per Bell Textron Australia Policies and Procedures.
4. Workflow Optimization: Ensure smooth workflow on assigned jobs with minimal disruptions by effective use of allocated manpower and resources.
5. Documentation: Aircraft work packs and log book entries are completed in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
6. Error Reporting: AMRs are raised at time of identification of additional work and are accurate.
7. Progress Tracking: Track progress of work to ensure budgetary control is maintained.
8. Team Leadership: Provide directions to apprentices to assist them to meet budgets and delivery schedules.
9. Remedial Action: Implement remedial action to correct project overruns.
10. Parts Procurement: Provide input into parts ordering for assigned projects to ensure parts are available to meet scheduled delivery times.
11. Quality Assurance: Regular review of project documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
12. Customer Interaction: Provide input into customer queries and/or complaints.
Key Result Areas:
Quality, Safety and Environment
1. Quality Standards: Ensure maintenance performed on aircraft under his/her control is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Procedure Development: Provide input into the development and revisions of company procedures for continuous improvement.
3. Workplace Safety: Actively participate in company WH & S program.
4. Safety Management: Actively participate in company safety management system.
5. Apprentice Management: Operational management of apprentices providing clear directions for maintenance or modification of aircraft allocated to him/her.
Commercial Management
1. Aircraft Management: Daily management and control of aircraft that the Maintenance Supervisor has assigned him/her.

3. Parts Management: Ensure spare parts are ordered at correct timeframe to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining appropriate cost structure within MRO.
4. Project Review: Review job packs for assigned projects and ensure they are complete and reflect customer requirements.
5. Performance Monitoring: Review daily reporting on estimated versus actual hours and take action as directed to correct or prevent overruns.
6. Requesting Additional Work: Request AMRs to be raised for additional work through the Engineering Services department.
7. Project Closure: Closed jobs are provided to Engineering Services for process of log book and invoices at project completion.
Sales and Customer Management
1. Progress Updates: Provide regular feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on progress of planned maintenance.
2. Customer Response: Provide input into response to customer queries and complaints.
Regulatory and Compliance
1. Compliance: Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is conducted in compliance with the Civil Aviation regulations for VH registered aircraft or equivalent regulations for foreign registered aircraft.
2. Procedure Notification: Responsible to record and notify any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel to the Maintenance Supervisor.
3. Resource Utilization: Demonstrate good judgement and efficiency in the use of company resources.
4. Conduct Expectations: Ensuring personal conduct is in line with the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.

Knowledge and Skills
Required
1. Aircraft Maintenance Experience: Experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility performing structural repairs, heavy maintenance and modifications.
2. Aviation Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements and standards for Aircraft maintenance.
3. Computer Literacy: Computer Literate at basic level in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft suite.
4. Structural Repair Experience: Structural repair and modification experience on aircraft in the scope of the Bell Textron Australia CAR 30 and Part 145 certificates.
5. Industry Experience: Previous experience in an organisation within a similar scope and size to Bell Textron Australia.
