About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay.

This is a hands-on role that requires full participation in the daily production of food to ensure planning and direction of service is produced to the highest quality and consistency. As second in charge, you will provide support to the Executive Chef and leadership to the Kitchen team.

* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and write standard recipe cards
* Prepare detailed on-boarding programs for new staff members
* Maintain comprehensive departmental standards and procedures
* Conduct training needs analysis and design training programs
* Perform probation and formal performance appraisals
* Maintain up-to-date staff records and approve leave requests
* Regularly communicate with staff and maintain good relations
* Provide direction to the Kitchen team

Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, over two years of chef experience, current food safety certification, and fluency in English.
