Job Description
The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in driving product/project priorities forward. This encompasses developing requirements into actionable stories, prioritizing the Team Backlog, and collaborating with development to maintain the technical integrity of the team's areas of ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delve into understanding customer needs through research and analysis.
2. Stay abreast of title and escrow process fundamentals.
3. Analyze market and competition trends to create innovative products or features that exceed customer expectations.
4. Organize calls, site visits, and other interactions with customers to identify needs and problems as well as validate feature requirements and initial designs.
5. Serve as the voice of the customer to the development teams.
6. Identify, maintain, improve, and prioritize product backlog items.
7. Recommend when a feature or set of features is ready for implementation, with a bias towards frequent delivery.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to work on product requirements.
9. Hold regular backlog refinement sessions with the team.
10. Apply core agile concepts for authoring effective stories and splitting large stories.
11. Facilitate user story mapping exercises with your team when starting new features or quarterly planning.
12. Develop and maintain a backlog depth of stories that align with organizational timelines, ensuring at least two sprints of work ahead of planning timelines.
13. Coordinate with key stakeholders to maintain a long-term product area plan.
14. Forecast feature release dates and communicate those with key stakeholders.
15. Work with customer-facing teams to understand the impact of defects and prioritize to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
16. Collaborate with product manager, development team, and architecture to identify and prioritize ongoing maintenance work to minimize future issues and take advantage of technical advancements.
