Position Details – Primary Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and professional Primary School educator who is committed to the pursuit of educational excellence to join our dynamic and dedicated teaching team. This is a 7‐month (temporary) full‐time position in the Primary School for the 2026 school year. Primary trained and/or training educators, including Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers, are encouraged to apply.
St Damien's Catholic Primary School is a co‐educational double stream Catholic school that caters for approximately 500 students and their families from Three‐Year‐Old Kindergarten to Year 6. Established in 2005, it has quickly developed a rich history and a strong presence in the Dawesville community and surrounding areas.

* work as part of a collaborative, cohesive and dedicated Teaching and Learning Team;
* demonstrate excellent teaching practice, with the capacity to engage, motivate and manage students in the classroom and in their learning;
* possess excellent organisational, technological and interpersonal skills;
* have an understanding of contemporary, evidence‐based approaches to learning and teaching, including using data to differentiate the curriculum to cater for a variety of student needs;
* have a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and practice effective strategies to implement it;
* be committed to the ongoing development of self through participation in Professional Development and Professional Learning Communities;
* be an active and positive staff member with a willingness to support all class and whole‐school initiatives and activities.
Qualifications Required
* a relevant Primary Teacher tertiary qualification;
* Accreditation to Teach Religious Education, or a willingness to work towards;
* Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) Registration;
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
