Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for effectively troubleshooting and correcting mechanical, electrical, and control issues. This role works to ensure that machinery, plant and equipment are safe, working efficiently and able to carry out their purpose for operations.
This position is based on a rotating Day/Afternoon shift schedule and follows a monthly pay cycle.

Responsibilities:
* Preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, which include working in both electrical and mechanical areas
* Ensure timely & effective completion of assigned PM tasks, updating relevant details into CMMS system (MEX)
* Analysing information and use of root cause, recurrence prevention techniques to solve breakdowns & problems
* Electrical and mechanical fault finding, with trouble shooting on automated systems
* Assisting the operation to ensure maximum system availability
* Working towards increasing equipment reliability by continuously improving and initiating processes and support
* Responding efficiently to breakdown conditions to minimise equipment down time
* Contribute and assist in upcoming improvement projects
Our ideal candidate:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics, manufacturing, or processing industries
* Mechanical or Electrical trade qualified – Dual trades would be highly regarded
* Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
* Strong computer skills
* Self-sufficient with a positive attitude
* Strong written & verbal communication skills
* Proactive and highly motivated, and the ability to work well in a team and independently
* Previous experience in the glass industry will be highly regarded
