We specialise in providing Labour Hire, Professional and Engineering & Technical staff to all industries across Australia.
Our client is an industry leader in providing equipment products, maintenance and services across the mining, agriculture, construction and other major industrial sectors globally.
This role would see you working within their Perth Branch, playing a vital role within their business structure. You would be employed as a Parts Store Person/Forklift Driver, working Monday to Friday full-time hours, with the availability of overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle and respond to inquiries regarding parts, catering to both retail and internal needs.
* Aid in managing inventory and fulfilling parts requests within the central store whenever necessary.
* Foster and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients.
* Manage the receipt and processing of parts inquiries at the central store.
* Acknowledge and process parts requisitions.
* Receive deliveries of new parts.
* Manage the return of surplus parts from vans to the central store.
* Conduct regular stock counts in the central store on a daily/weekly basis.
* Perform monthly stock counts for service vans.
* Assist in determining the costs associated with service jobs.
* Coordinate packaging and shipping of outgoing goods as required, both internally and externally.
* Retrieve count sheets from Great Plains.
* Perform part counts and document them on count sheets.
* Verify consistency of part numbers across all parts.
* Ensure that each part is labelled with its corresponding part number.
* Document the dedicated bin location for each part.
* Validate that the current part number is accurately labelled on the dedicated bin location.
* Transfer parts to the appropriate bin location when necessary.
* Forward count sheets to the Parts Manager for data entry into Great Plains.
* Obtain signatures on parts requisition sheets for every parts transaction.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with relevant regulations and standards in Western Australia.
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years in mobile/access equipment or equivalent with understanding of construction or mining background knowledge (preferred).
* Understanding of customer relations and customer business processes.
* Sound product knowledge is advantageous.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Computer literacy would be a distinct advantage.
* Team player.
* Strong problem‑solving skills.
