Job Title: Carer Support Coordinator
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Carer Support Coordinator, coordinating and leading the implementation of Carer Support Program policies, guidelines and strategies for the Coffs Clinical Network (CCN) within agreed boundaries in Mid North Coast Local Health District.
The role involves face-to-face group work with carers and provides consultancy to staff and service providers on policy and best practice relating to carers. The aim is to increase support for carers, raise awareness of carers' needs and change attitudes towards carers within the health system.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and lead the implementation of Carer Support Program policies, guidelines and strategies for the CCN.
* Provide face-to-face group work with carers and consultancy to staff and service providers on policy and best practice relating to carers.
* Increase support for carers, raise awareness of carers' needs and change attitudes towards carers within the health system.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or Bachelor of Social Work and eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers; or current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia; or current registration with the Physiotherapist Board of Australia.
* A sound understanding and demonstrated experience of working with carers.
