Our client is currently looking to recruit suitably qualified individuals in the role of Personal Care Assistant to provide care and support to their patients based throughout South Australia. As a personal care assistant, you will demonstrate compassion and dedication in providing help to others and have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the patients' lives.
The Opportunity
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and care to individuals who require assistance with their daily activities. Your role will involve helping clients maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including their homes, assisted living facilities, or rehabilitation centre's.
Your Duties will be:
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Accompany patients to medical appointments and assist with transportation.
Engage in meaningful conversations and provide companionship to patients
Monitor and report any changes in the patients condition to the supervising healthcare professional.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided.
Qualifications you will need:
High school diploma or equivalent (certification in healthcare or related field is a plus).
Previous experience in personal care or caregiving is preferred.
Compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to help others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
Although not essential, Cantonese and Chinese speakers are highly regarded.
You will receive:
