Overview

Altona location, close to public transport. Permanent, full-time position. Salary: Band 8 - $123,558.69 to $138,163.90 + superannuation.

The opportunity

The Coordinator Corporate Planning and Performance is the driving force behind Council's planning and reporting rhythm, helping the organisation stay clear, aligned and future focused. Your experience in local government will help you guide the Council Plan and Community Vision cycles, turn complex data into meaningful insights, and support teams to plan and measure what really matters. You'll collaborate across the organisation, work confidently with consultants, and bring a steady, organised approach to keeping planning frameworks compliant, transparent and effective. With a mix of analytical thinking, relationship building and strategic know-how, you will help lift organisational capability and ensure Council delivers on its commitments to the community.

What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and coordinating Council's integrated planning and reporting frameworks, including the Council Plan, Community Vision and Annual Plan.
* Managing the annual business and strategic planning cycles, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
* Building and maintaining organisation wide performance frameworks, including KPIs, data systems and reporting cycles.
* Providing strategic advice and analytical insights to support evidence based decision making across Council.
* Working with internal teams and external consultants to drive continuous improvement, service reviews and best practice planning.
What You'll Need To Succeed
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, public administration, management or similar.
* Strong experience in local government strategic and corporate planning (essential).
* Proven experience coordinating Council Plan, Vision and statutory planning/reporting cycles.
* Excellent communication and relationship skills, including working effectively with consultants and senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated data analytics capability, including performance reporting and use of tools like Excel or Power BI.

Pre-Employment Requirements
