The Role We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Estimator (SMP) to join our Sustaining Capital Projects Team in a full-time capacity.
Based at our West Perth office, with occasional travel to site, this role plays a critical part in the successful delivery of tender packages and provides essential support to both the tendering and project execution teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong first principles estimating expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a proven ability to produce accurate and detailed cost estimates across structural, mechanical, and piping disciplines.
Key Responsibilities Develop SMP capital cost estimates specific to each discipline Complete detailed methodologies and tender submission schedules Maintain, track and report tender progress, performance, pricing and documentation Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers around pricing Review drawings and work scopes to ensure reflection in pricing and project execution Perform material take-offs and compile detailed cost documentation Review and advise on commercial, contracts and scope departures Develop relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and wider business team Ensure compliance with client QAQC, company policies, plans and procedures Prepare schedules with ability to prepare budgets to deadlines Assist in client meetings or undertake site visits where required to review works About You Eligible to work in Australia Construction white card Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years' experience within Civil, Construction and Piping works as an Estimator or similar (mining industry desirable) Proficient in the full MS Office Suite and MS Projects Experience with SMP tender development and material take-off's Ability to see tendering process through to project execution (advantageous) High level of technical aptitude, problem-solving skills with an attention to detail Ability to working independently and within a team Strong communication skills, positive attitude and commitment to doing your best Possess sound business acumen and ability to adapt to different environments Why Warrikal Work in a team that values your growth and contribution Learn from experienced professionals dedicated to your success Access to career pathways and leadership roles within Warrikal Recognition, rewards and ongoing opportunities Flexible work arrangements (conditions apply) Access to mental health support (EAP) How To ApplyTo apply for the role, click on the 'Apply' button.
