About the Role
Allstone is looking for a motivated store person to work in our growing warehouse to assist with picking and packing along with goods inwards and outwards. This is a warehouse based position with occasional pickups and deliveries also required.
Key Duties will include:
* Receiving of shipping containers and other deliveries; receipting, unpacking, checking and storage.
* Making sure all stock is put away in the right places and correctly labelled.
* Assisting with stock control and monitoring stock re-order levels.
* Picking stone to complete new orders including manual handling of stone blocks, pavers and veneers.
* Packing stone and sundry materials ready for shipment.
* Warehouse & workshop maintenance – general housekeeping and tidying of the warehouse and surrounding area including a weekly clean of work areas.
* Some deliveries and pick ups of sundry items.
Skill and Experience
You will need to have
* Experience in stock management and storage systems maintenance
* As heavy lifting is involved, a sound knowledge of manual handling practices is required.
* Good understanding of OH&S requirements
* LF class forklift licence is essential
* C class (car) driver's licence is essential
* Attention to detail and very clean concise work practices.
* Basic computer literacy and an ability to follow work guidelines.
* An ability to prioritise jobs and the flexibility to multitask and work autonomously when required.
