About the opportunity The Philanthropy Manager (Scholarships) is responsible for developing and managing the University's relationship with its generous friends and supporters, with a focus on strengthening and growing support of scholarships.
The incumbent of this position will work closely with Director, Advancement and Associate Director Philanthropy (Strategic Initiatives) and other Advancement staff to implement a pipeline of donors and their associated stewardship.
What you'll do: Identify and nurture potential donors for the University.
Establish regular contact and cultivate relationships with key prospects and represent the University at events.
Solicit gifts and significant donations either outright or planned for the University.
Generate income and play a key role in the Advancement Office achieving its financial targets.
Work with the Director, Advancement and Associate Director Strategic Initiatives (Philanthropy) to identify areas of potential fundraising opportunity.
What we're looking for: Demonstrated success and experience in relationship management and fundraising.
Experience operating within a strong professional network in the fundraising community.
An excellent communicator with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with a range of people.
Ability to act independently using initiative, judgement and discretion, particularly when dealing with matters of a confidential nature.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive team culture and environment.
Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130,943 comprising base salary within the range of $101,821 to $111,917 plus 17% superannuation.
